What a pilot is

1. 1. Sandbox, 14 days. A demo district with sample students and a magic link for each role. No purchase order, no real data, nothing that requires your identity provider yet.
2. 2. Convert to pilot. If it fits, we rebind the same district to your real domain, connect your roster source, and run one school on your real students — still free, still no purchase order to begin.
3. 3. Order Form. When your district is ready to expand past the pilot school, an Order Form and the Illinois Student Data Privacy Agreement bring the rest of your schools on under the same terms.

What your district needs to provide

• Your domain. The email domain your staff and, if applicable, students sign in with, so single sign-on can be configured.
• A roster source. Your student information system, Clever, or ClassLink under OneRoster 1.2 — whichever your district already uses.
• A DPA signatory. Someone authorized to execute the Illinois Student Data Privacy Agreement before the pilot touches real student data — typically your director of technology or a district administrator.
